Common Support Issues
I can just barely hear (or not hear at all) radio stations through the Radio Ace headphones.
First, make sure that your ground wire is well-grounded. This is essential for good reception. Attach the ground wire securely to bare metal on a radiator pipe, plumbing pipe, air conditioning duct, or even a large piece of rebar driven into the actual ground outside. Make sure all of your wire connections have a good amount of bare metal touching bare metal.
Next, make sure that there are radio stations broadcasting with sufficient power in your area. Even if a radio transmitter is only 10 miles away, it will sound very quiet if it is only transmitting with a few Watts of power.
Use a regular radio to pick up a local station that has a particularly strong signal. Then try to pick up that same station with your Radio Ace.
Something to remember is that the Radio Ace itself is in principle not very loud. You should not expect to hear any radio stations with the same volume as you hear through an standard amplified radio.
If you still cannot hear anything with the Radio Ace, or want to boost your volume, use external powered speakers (such as those that are attached to a PC and plug into a wall outlet) instead of the headphones included with the kit. These speakers have an additional amplifier that will increase the volume of the signal.
